Who Should Apply?
Clinical internships are open to students enrolled in accredited university programs in:

Social work (BSW, MSW)

Professional counseling (MA, MS)

Psychology (MA, PhD, PsyD)

Nursing (BSN, MSN — including psychiatric specializations)

Marriage and family therapy
-
Other clinical degree programs on a case-by-case basis
You'll need to be in good academic standing and have your university's support for the placement. We'll coordinate directly with your program to confirm requirements.
What to Expect?

Apply — Submit the interest form below. Our Compliance team will follow up to schedule a prescreen meeting. Reach out at least 30 days before your desired start date.

Prescreen — We'll discuss your academic background, schedule preferences, desired location, and the type of clinical experience you're looking for. We'll also confirm whether your university has an existing Affiliate Agreement with Alliance (if not, we'll work with your school to establish one).

Interview — You'll meet with the Program Director at your preferred placement site. This is where we match your learning goals with the right team.

Onboarding — Once accepted, you'll submit required documentation and complete a brief HR orientation. You'll also attend a Quarterly Orientation with other incoming interns covering HIPAA, confidentiality, boundaries, and expectations.

Internship begins — Your assigned supervisor will finalize your schedule, review your professional goals, and begin weekly supervision sessions. You'll document clinical work in our EHR system with supervisor review and approval.

CPR/BLS certification

Hepatitis B documentation

Proof of liability insurance (provided by your university)

Registered Nurse license (if applicable)

Background check (completed through our vendor)
