Alliance Healthcare Services Welcomes Marilyn Burress as Senior Vice President of Organizational Development

We are thrilled to announce a powerful addition to our leadership team here at Alliance Healthcare Services. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Marilyn Burress, who has stepped into the role of Senior Vice President of Organizational Development.

Marilyn is not entirely new to our team. She first joined us in the fall of 2024 as a consultant and quickly developed a strong connection with our staff and our mission. Her passion for our work and the culture we've built was so evident that we knew she was the perfect fit for a permanent leadership position. We are delighted that she felt the same way and has officially become part of the Alliance family as of June 16, 2025.

What She Will Do

In this crucial role, Marilyn will guide our Human Resources and Compliance departments, fortifying the very backbone of our organization. Her leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our dedicated staff feels supported and empowered, while simultaneously upholding the highest standards of care and integrity for the community we serve.

A Career of Helping Others

Marilyn brings a remarkable wealth of knowledge to Alliance, with over 30 years of experience in public health and executive leadership.

Her distinguished career includes several executive-level positions at the Memphis Health Center, showcasing her versatile leadership capabilities.

During her tenure there, she served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Administrative Director, Clinic Administrator, and Director of Social Services, gaining invaluable insight into every facet of healthcare administration.

Her academic background is just as impressive. Marilyn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from LeMoyne-Owen College and holds 4 master’s degrees: a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Liberal Studies from the University of Memphis, a Master of Operations Management from the University of Arkansas, and a Master of Christian Counseling from Jacksonville Theological Seminary.

Please join us in congratulating Marilyn on her new role!
