Rise Up: Clinical High Risk for Psychosis (CHR-P) Program
The Rise Up program helps young people ages 12-25 who are showing early warning signs of psychosis; before a first episode ever happens.

What Rise Up Does
The Rise Up program at Alliance Healthcare Services identifies young people who are showing early signs that could lead to psychosis; and steps in before a mental health crisis happens.
Think of it like treating pre-diabetes before it becomes full diabetes. Early help makes all the difference.
Our team of specialists works with your whole family to build strength, improve symptoms, and help your child stay on track with school, friends, and life goals.

Is Rise Up Right for My Child?

Who We Serve
The Rise Up program is for young people ages 12-25 who:
Are experiencing some of the signs listed above
Have not had a full psychotic episode
Want help getting back on track
We work with your whole family because your support matters most.
Why Early Help Matters
Research shows that catching psychosis early—before the first full episode—leads to better outcomes. Young people who get early help are more likely to:'
Stay in school or keep working
Maintain relationships with family and friends
Avoid hospitalization
Live independently
Achieve their goals
Most importantly: Early treatment can prevent psychosis from developing at all.
Our program uses evidence-based methods proven to work, including cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy, and medication when appropriate.

Frequent Parental Concerns
"I'm worried this means my child has a serious mental illness."
Early warning signs don't mean your child will definitely develop psychosis. In fact, most young people in Rise Up never have a psychotic episode. What these signs do mean is that your child's brain needs some extra support right now—and getting that support early gives them the best possible outcome.
"Will people find out? I don't want my child labeled."
We understand privacy matters. All services are completely confidential. We won't contact your child's school or share information without your written permission. Many families find that getting help early actually prevents the kind of crisis that might involve police, hospitals, or school intervention.
"How will we pay for this?"
Rise Up accepts TennCare, Medicare, and most private insurance including Aetna and United Healthcare. We also offer sliding-scale fees based on your income for uninsured families. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.
Call us at 901-369-1410 to verify your coverage and discuss payment options.
"My child won't go to therapy."
We hear this often. Our team knows how to work with young people who aren't sure they want help. We start where they are, focus on goals that matter to them (like getting back to sports, improving grades, or feeling less anxious), and build trust over time.
"What if this doesn't work?"
Rise Up uses evidence-based treatments proven to help young people experiencing early psychosis symptoms. While every person's journey is different, the research is clear: early intervention works. If symptoms get worse or your child needs more intensive support, we have a full continuum of services including our Crisis Wellness Center, outpatient programs, and connections to higher levels of care.
You won't be left to figure this out alone.
